Judy demonstrates an economical way to make a very tall balloon centerpiece using air filled balloons instead of helium. This do it yourself centerpiece can be used for weddings and receptions, parties and events, including bar and bat mitzvahs. The height of the center tube can be adjusted to meet most specifications. They are a fraction of the cost of expensive helium balloons and last longer, allowing for pre-preparation and transport. Another free demonstration from A-BnC Parties and More, Inc. and if you could have anything at your wedding for no cost what would it be?

It really depends on what part of the country you live in. I just got married in October. We live in San Diego, but we are both from Milwaukee, WI. We got married back in Milwaukee and had a wonderful wedding with everything we wanted, including our honeymoon to St. Kitts and Nevis for about $27,000. I would estimate that the same wedding in San Diego would have been between $40-45,000

I want to do some research on how much a wedding cost. I would love to get married Summer 2010 but that may not be enough time to save up. Could you give me some ideas of how much your weddings cost and where you had them?

Our wedding is on April 17th, 2009 and we are expecting it to cost around $25,000, not including $10-$12K on our honeymoon that we are paying for ourselves. We are very lucky in that my parents want to pay for the majority of wedding expenses (we are paying for our own rings, invites, and DJ but they are pretty much footing the bill for everything else), which allows us to have the wedding of our dreams and not start married life in debt. Our wedding will have about 80-90 guests, it is more important to us to spend the same amount of money on fewer guests so that the wedding could be nicer and more elegant, rather than spreading the same budget out on 150-200 guests.
Also, I live in NYC metro area, which is super expensive compared to the rest of the country.

The average wedding in the US today is about $20,000.
I think you can definitely pull off a nice wedding by summer 2010, you have over a year and a half to plan! Don’t put it off longer, you will just be really antsy anticipating a wedding that’s so far away. Consider your budget and go from there: biggest way to save is cut the guest list, that way you can still afford the beautiful wedding you deserve.
Good luck and congratulations!

I have 175 invites to my wedding, how much does the average wedding cost in total? im not interested in those people who spent $100 and eloped or just went cheap as heck haha, i know your out there! im talking about a classy nice, not over the top, average wedding. thanks

My wedding is costing my fiance’ and I $21,000. We are having a Saturday wedding (Oct 17 of this year) It’s about $18 a plate for a buffet and we have 350 guests, photographer is about $1600. Our cake and a sheet cake to go with it was $735, my dress was $700, the tux was free with the groomsman’s tuxes, the bridesmaids dresses were $160 but they paid for them, I got all my bridesmaids gifts which I spent about $500 (I have 5 bridesmaids) and same with the groomsmen, the rehearsal dinner will cost us about $3000, my hair and makeup will be about $300, jewelry is about $100, I got silk flowers because our wedding is sweetest day and that cost us $300, the DJ is $500, ceremony at a church is $400, centerpieces are about $300, other decor $500, Limo is $800 for 3 hours, also there is the bar tab at the reception, honeymoon, and I’m sure there is a few other things that I’ve forgotten that we’re paying for. It will be nice that you have extra money to spend, just don’t blow all of it! Also depends on where you live, the cost of everything is different everywhere! Hope I helped you a little bit!!

I really want to drape fabric along the walls at my wedding reception but how much does it cost to buy the fabric and where do you buy it? Also if any other brides are having a wedding on Valentine’s Day or have any ideas for decorations or the reception please tell me!

If you want to cover the walls, I’d suggest starting with Stump’s Prom & Party Supply and price their gossamer wall coverings… here’s a link. If you don’t like what they have maybe you’ll at least have some idea of what to search for.

Congratulations and best wishes

I am just curious what the mean cost of a wedding is, so how much and what kind of a wedding was it?

My parents are outliers as their wedding cost a little over 300 dollars.

Thank you in advance for your answers

I’m getting married in two weeks and i need to know how much a supreme court wedding ceremony costs in Vermont, plz and thanx 🙂

Marriage licenses’ cost varies from county to county & so does the cost of who marries you. Some judges are more expensive than others. The best thing to do is call.
And it isn’t a supreme court wedding ceremony. It is a typical civil ceremony at the courthouse performed by a Probate Judge.

Wedding CostWedding cost is one of the key factors to consider when planning a wedding. And with the average wedding costing over $20,000, it is easy to feel overwhelmed. But with a little thought and planning, the cost of your wedding can be kept under control and you can still have the wedding of your dreams.

Your wedding cost will completely depend on how much you actually have to spend. In other words, it will depend upon your budget. If you are just starting to plan your wedding, then you have undoubtedly heard that term a couple dozen times already. It might even make you cringe. But, no matter what size ceremony and reception you are thinking of having, your budget is crucial to helping you plan your special day and keeping your costs under control.

There are numerous things to take into consideration when working out your budget. The first thing to consider is who is actually financing your wedding. Is it you and your partner or are other family members chipping in? Once this is established and you have an idea of what you have to spend, you can begin to create your budget.

Using a spreadsheet or even just a piece of paper estimate costs for each aspect of your wedding (both the ceremony and reception). Add them all up to see your total wedding cost. If your total cost is higher than expected you will need to decide if you can afford it and where you might reduce your expenses.

Make sure you don’t leave anything off your budget. You have a lot of different things to consider so make sure your lists are comprehensive. Using a checklist like the free checklist at Wedding Day Delights can help you fill in a lot of the details.

You need to consider everything including the cost of your dress, flowers, ribbons, candles, invitations, place cards, programs, thank you notes, favors, music for the ceremony, renting the venue, your marrying official’s time…the list goes on.

Think about the groom’s tux, cuff links, shoes, your veil, bouquets, any hair pieces, and whether or not you and your bridal party will be having your hair and makeup done professionally.

Are you having guests in from other cities or states? Think about transportation needs to and from airports or between the ceremony and reception. A limousine service for your bridal party will bump up your wedding cost, especially if you add pre-reception Champaign toasts.

The reception is usually where the wedding costs really start to add up. You need to consider venue, food, alcohol, flowers, centrepieces, decorations and music, such as a DJ or band. Sometimes you can find a wedding package deal that includes use of the space for a set number of hours as well as the food. It may also include the decorations, music and other elements of your day. When looking around for venues, be sure to ask about the different options each one offers.

Catering will be the most expensive part of your reception, but spending a little more money on food and a little less on flowers may suit you. Your guests will remember what they ate more than what flowers were on the cake.

You will also need to decide if you are you going to have a professional photographer and/or videographer. They do come at a significant cost, but your memories are priceless. Consider this decision very carefully. You don’t want to regret your choice later.

Don’t forget to include price of your rings in your budget. They can be amongst the highest-priced single items you will need for your wedding but are the longest lasting. After all, the flowers are gone after a day but you are planning to you’re your rings for the rest of your lives.

With all these details to keep track of, setting a budget not only helps you keep your wedding cost in check but it also helps you stay organised and plan your wedding with ease.
