i think i am going to make all the bouquets and centerpieces and decorations, basically everything myself. If you did the same thing, how much did your whole wedding cost: including *everything*?
oh, but i’m not making the cake by myself or anything.

We spent approx 8000. We did the everything except my the flowers for the bridal party (Safeway $500) and the cake $425. The church and reception hall we got for a steal $300. My dress I got off ebay $350. The kids tuxes ebay $50.

    photographer 300 student
flowers 150 for decorations and bouquets.
    Dress ?
    chair and table rentals
    cake 150-300
    music ?
    rings?
    Food, beverages?
You could do it for around 2000 or 3000 if you have it very
small. Mine was about 5k plus my dress which my parents bought, grandmothers farm outdoors, did everything myself. around 80 people. These are the basics above.

You could have cup cakes or mini individual pies like apple, for favors instead of your cake, you could do that.

We had a small, intimate wedding for 50 people and I did most everything myself- centerpieces, decor, etc. The biggest expense was the location because it was a very special glass church overlooking the ocean.
In total, we spent about $6,000 on food, drink, dress, invites, flowers, rentals (for the reception room- chairs, linens, place settings), food servers, cake, photographer, accessories and the location.

I had a destination wedding in Maui, HI. I did everything myself. The whole wedding including the ceremony site, photographer, videographer, flowers, musicians, wedding dress, reception site, food, hotel (for a week), limo, priest, wedding favors, dj and cake totalled around $25,000. We had about 50 people.

Doing-it-yourself decorations will definitely save money, but it seems like the biggest expenses for any wedding are catering and venue rental. These prices completely depend on where you live, and where you decide to hold your wedding. I live in the Kansas City area and have found a couple of caterers that serve a buffet for as low as $7 per person! Of course you then have to factor in sales tax, gratuity, and any upgrades you deem necessary (i.e. it may seem worth the extra $2 p/p to upgrade from foam plates…). Total price will also depend on your number of guests.
Again, venue prices will vary depending on region, but here you can rent a nice park or community center for very reasonable (under $500).
You might also consider using silk flowers instead of real. This will save you money and should make the flowers easier to work with (i.e. you can arrange them as far in advance as you like without worrying about wilting).
