I was wondering…how much does an average wedding singer cost for just the ceremony alone?
in Illinois…btw.

Couple hundred. It depends on how good they are and where you live.

    $300-$400 in Los Angeles.

    I would consult the church you go to, and ask the receptionist or wedding planner there how much the cantor/singer charges because each state is different.

    I’ve done just this thing professionally for years, mostly Catholic ceremonies.

    Depending on how much music is done and how much rehearsing, I typically will charge around $200 – $250. Keep in mind that would cover all my rehearsals with the organist, music before the wedding, and singing during the entire ceremony including responses.
