What’s the most reasonable price you think there is?

An "average" photographer may charge 500-1000
A good one will charge from 2000 – name a price.

you dont give us enough info to give you any sort of reasonable answer.

there are amateurs who ‘think’ they know how to shoot a wedding that will charge just a few hundred bucks. there are pros that charge 50,000 for a days work.

a lot of it also depends on whats included in the package. I can shoot a small short wedding (no recepton) for about $500. you get no prints. no cd. no dvd. you dont even get to see the pics for that price.

everything beyond me showing up with camera in hand is extra on an a la carte basis.

Depends on what you want, how long the photographer would be there, where you live and the experience/qualifications of the photographer.

In my area(Central Ohio) I’ve seen prices as low as $300 and as high as $10,000.

    Hi Kenzi,

I’m a professional photographer. As you can see, the numbers are all over the ballpark. That’s because your question is very general – it’s like asking how much a car costs. A 20 year old "junk" car might be $500, while a new Bentley or Rolls Royce might run $250,000.

Is it for a full day’s coverage of a big church wedding with 250 guests or just a few hours with a civil ceremony and an intimate gathering of a dozen friends and family? Does the price include albums or prints? How many, and what size? Will the photographer edit, crop, and retouch your images so they are absolutely perfect, or will he just hand you an unedited CD with as many bad pictures as good ones?

My prices in the New York metro area start at $1,299 for a half-day, including an edited CD with your images, an online Internet gallery, and a modest 8 x 8 album.

Here are some websites for additional guidance:

Your wedding photographs are an important investment, and will bring back memories of your wedding day for decades to come, so go for the best quality you can afford.
